Log Analysis Options
In House:
We can configure your website to do additional logging. This file can be made available for download to your location. Then log reporting software such as WebTrends can make it into a report for you.
ISP Provided:
We can setup and run the reporting here soup to nuts as a repeating URL that updates daily or weekly (your choice). The cost is $35/month and $85/hr to do all the setup. Nuances of which make a quotation difficult. Search Engine work is detailed and time-consuming.
NOTES:
Reverse DNS Lookup: (IP Address to Host resolution)
The ISP provided option would include an attempt, by the software to reverse DNS lookup to host name (of ISP or company). As this is a proactive step, sometimes prone to failure or misconfiguration/nonexisitant on the part of the visiting ISP or Company in question (some "hide" on purpose), there will always be chance of percentage miss.
Search Engine Visitation Based Data:
The rsoftware shows search engines name by name by visitation rank and a listing of the common keywords used. An invaluable tool providing information on how to control the "herd" of search engines and what people are typing in to find your website when at the search engines, ranked by prevalence.
